CRKBRD

CRKBRD is a small desktop corkboard app for organizing ideas spatially. Drop notes and images onto a board, move them around, connect them with strings, and keep everything saved locally on your computer.

Features:

• Create stickies, cards, and import images
• Re-color stickies and cards with right-click
• Drag items to move them
• Resize and rotate items using handles
• Pin items to lock them in place
• Connect items with dangling strings
• Select multiple items with CTRL+click or CTRL+A
• Move around the board by dragging the background
• Zoom with the mouse wheel
• Export boards as JSON files to backup or share
• Import boards from JSON files
• Right-click empty space for:
  • Center board (centers the view on all items)
  • Straighten all (sets all item rotations to 0°)
  • Organize all (smartly arranges items)
  • Resize all (resets items to default sizes)

Web Version:

• Use in your browser with no download
• Boards saved locally
• Images embed in your save data
• Import/export between versions

Data & Privacy:

• Boards and imported assets stored in Electron's `userData` directory locally on your hard drive; web version stores in browser localStorage and have a ~5MB limit
• Everything stays local unless you explicitly share files

Shortcuts:

• Delete selected items: `Delete`
• Save: `Ctrl+S` / `Cmd+S`
• Select visible items: `Ctrl+A`
• Select all items: `Ctrl+Shift+A`
• Toggle selection: `Ctrl+Click`
